Buddy System

Promote safety through a neighbour to neighbour buddy system. Pair up neighbours for daily or weekly phone calls and check-ins. You can also set up a cold (or warm weather) check-in during the coldest days in the winter (and the hottest days in the summer!). Be creative around how you would like to check-in with one another; phone calls, text messages, door knocks are all useful. A buddy system is easy to implement, and goes a long way towards both combating social isolation and fostering a sense of safety within the community.
