About this Idea

Set up a community board in a visible, high traffic area such as the lobby or mail room, and write down questions that might invite conversation from neighbours. You can use bristol board, cork boards or white boards, and provide makers, post-it notes or pieces of paper for people to tack on responses.

One community wrote the word ‘welcome’ in English and encouraged the rest of the building to write the translation in their own language to see how many different cultures were represented in the building.
