Floor Captain

If your aging in place group has a lot of members, you can consider recruiting “floor captains” on each floor as a way to get information out and encourage participation in events. A floor captain is responsible for communicating information to residents on their assigned floor, but can also help carry concerns, suggestions or needs to the aging in place organizing committee. Floor captains can also be assigned other duties such as ensuring the safety of those on his or her floor during emergencies such as heat waves or blackouts.
